I was so impressed by your course, the content resonated with me and will help me as I continue this voyage of self discovery and possibility.
The main reasons for its success I think, was the open and accepting atmosphere you created as well as your encouragement and support and the large array of books and materials that you provided.
I felt comfortable and safe speaking freely.
Thanks so much and I look forward to taking the next course

My experience at your courses (twice so far, even though not really full-time?), has been wonderful, empowering, and has helped me to travel to better places with my train of thoughts, and I thank you for that!
This would not have happened if it was not for your thoughtfulness and tact in dealing with our stories, and of course for the guidance you offered.
I hope and am sure that our paths will cross again.

I was a bit anxious to start writing, but Pat gave us ideas which helped to begin. After we had read our story, Pat was very encouraging with our work and gave us helpfull feed back. I was amazed at my improvement each week, all thanks to Pat's positive comments. Mary
Your classes with interesting participants, and under your guidance, have helped me to be more focused on the essence of what matters and what does not in my story, (if it is ever to be told?). And I thank you for that. I will seriously consider to be part of your courses again, and hope the opportunity will present itself. M.G.
You helped me do several important things. One was that writing is a kind of global issue and since it is something that involves the whole person that's where you start. It's not a sort of skill separated from other things. Another is was that I feel that it's something that I am able to do and I had kind of given up on that score a few years ago. It just wasn't coming in the way that I had hoped and I either needed to just drop it or make a breakthrough. It's presumptuous to say that I've made the breakthrough that I was looking for but I feel that I've at least stepped up. — Ken, North Vancouver
I thoroughly enjoyed "My Story,my way".I enrolled with the hope that I would learn how to preserve stories from my childhood for my children and my nieces and nephew. I got way more than I bargained for out of the session. Pat is a marvelous facilitator. She established an environment where I felt very secure in exploring how I want to tell my stories. I appreciated and enjoyed the diversity of the group from the different personalities to the varied ways they told their stories. Novelist Wayson Choi said "Once you decide that your stories are important enough to tell, go out and learn the craft."I could not have made a better start. Thank you Pat. — Jackie
For me, it was about of truly letting go of the past and embracing my "new chapter" with positive energy, creativity, intention, self-focus and spending much more energy doing what I want/love to do. Pat's New Chapter; New Life Story process helped me to strongly commit and take specific action toward this new direction. Thank you Pat! — Heather
A very warm, sharing group who I hope to remain in touch with. Pat was an excellent facilitator, coaxing us with her gentle manner, and genuine caring. I am excited to continue with her and several of my new friends in her next session as I have reflected on my past and now look forward to the future. — Jeannie
The New Chapter; New Life Story was an enabling experience for me. Pat helped to create a group sense that had an authenticity which enabled creative exploration of our possible futures. I felt heard and appreciated. I felt encouraged to hear others and found a shared commonality. We discovered that we were mostly at similar points in our lives and open to creating something good out of our futures.
Pat's way of leading without being too directive gave a beginning and goal to the six week experience. To me it felt that I had taken a step in the right direction as well as having made some new honest friendships with others in the course. — Ken
.... a great job leading the group to some thought provoking sessions. Nice group too! — Donna
I found New Chapter: New Life Story to be a fulfilling journey into planning my retirement. Pat is a wonderful guide. She created a route for us with activities and discussion that helped each of us to discover the issues at the heart of our individual paths. Pat created a learning environment where we felt safe and supported. I heart-fully recommend this class to anyone looking to make a change in their lives. — Betty
Many thanks for your kind words, I really enjoyed your 'brainchild' course. I was glad to be there and I enjoyed meeting the interesting women each week. It was over too soon. — Di
“When we retire from full-time paid employment, we can be left with a sense of loss of identity and a feeling of emptiness, purposelessness, meaninglessness, and vulnerability. It can become necessary, and a challenge, to find ways to identify and develop strengths, talents and gifts that had to be put aside in the years of conforming to the requirements of the workplace. Pat’s workshops are a great help in that process, and always enjoyable. I highly recommend them. “ — Janet
"I liked the intimate group discussion that came from the familiarity of group members. There are so many ways a group of women could go-into health, financial planning, spa trips etc. Groups can create amazing things if support is there." Karen McKee, Rita Simmons
"Conversation was productive. 6 weeks would be good as I think we need that amount of time to feel comfortable and go from past to now to future. No space between the sessions. I signed up as I needed to put action side by side with my thoughts." — Hilary
"I believe that our conversation last Tuesday opened up many pathways in my mind." — Bernice
"Pat has a special ability to pull the group together from the first session. She creates a relaxed, warm & supportive environment that encourages participants to share comfortably." — Dorothy
Pat really is a very special woman who understands the challenges of finding a new life when all the old roles and demands fall away. Pat is the perfect person to support any woman wanting to travel along a new path of creativity and learning. — L.
I feel that Pat's course New Chapter; New Life Story helped me as I try to sort out my priories and feelings at this stage of life. Through small group discussions, gentle suggestions, and finding others who share similar situations, I feel I was able to develop a more confident approach to the future. Pat provided a comfortable environment for discussions, and generously leant me helpful books. I feel that the course helped me to appreciate what I have in life and to look more positively toward the future. — T.B.
